Course Information

This course provides an overview of local, regional and national issues related to occupational therapy practice. Specific roles and responsibilities for occupational therapy practitioners are analyzed within the larger context of health care, health care providers, organizations and the importance of advocating for the profession within these environments and working closely with other health professionals. Emphasis will be placed on the importance of occupational therapy practitioners providing culturally competent and client-centered care.
