Course Information

This course introduces the concepts of the role of occupational therapy, therapeutic use of self and effective communication when identifying the occupational needs of individuals, groups and populations through the lifespan. The relationship of socio-cultural, socio economic, diversity factors and lifestyle choices will be explored. An appraisal of values, perceptions, culture, interpersonal communication style and how these factors influence the delivery of client-centered care will occur
