Course Information

The concept of group dynamics for occupational therapy practice is addressed to include the roles, content and processes associated with planning and delivering interventions in a group format. Theoretical approaches are applied to guide group treatment for a variety of populations, with a systematic approach to planning and leading therapeutic groups. Integrated lab activities provide opportunities to gain practical experience and confidence in planning and conducting simulated treatment groups on campus and actual treatment groups in the community.
