Course Information

The philosophy of occupational therapy is examined in this course. Students are introduced to conceptual practice models, frames of reference, theories that guide occupational therapy practice and the psychometrics of standardized assessment and intervention tools. The occupational therapy process is examined with a focus on critical thinking and clinical reasoning. Integrated lab experiences focus on the occupational therapy process and professional documentation methods for observation, intervention and outcomes are introduced.
