In this first course of a two-part series, students are instructed on the theory, rationale/indications, contraindications, complications and appropriate interpretation of commonly utilized laboratory and diagnostic studies. Components of technique, needed materials and safe patient care are interwoven throughout via lecture and integrated lab activities.
