Course Information

This course will develop candidates' understanding of the various aspects of writing to integrate throughout the content areas. Candidates will acquire and apply a common language for teaching and assessing student writing and investigate the varied ways writing genres extend throughout the curriculum. Candidates will examine research-supported writing instruction and the role write-to-learn strategies play in supporting diverse students in accessing and understanding content-specific information. Prerequisite(s): Graduate status.
