Course Information

The course examines the intersection of human rights and P-12 education and prepares individuals to effectively work with and advocate for children and adolescents in educational settings. Students completing the course will be able to 1) demonstrate an increased understanding of fundamental human rights with a specific emphasis on education rights and the human rights of children and adolescents 2) create learning environments that elevate human rights in educational settings and 3) design developmentally appropriate instruction for children and adolescents on varied human rights topics. Prereq: Graduate Status.
